European commitment continues with DAG participation in the INTERLINK project

26/Apr/2021

The Directorate for Information Systems and Innovation of the Department of General Affairs and Personnel is a partner in a new European project with the aim of developing a collaborative governance model that promotes the sharing and reuse of public services.

INTERLINK (Innovating goverNment and ciTizen co-dEliveRy for the digitaL sINgle marKet) is the new research project funded by the European Commission through the Horizon 2020 programme, with the aim of overcoming the barriers that hinder the creation of a digital single market, in which Public Administrations share services with citizens and private actors by combining the flexibility and enthusiasm of “bottom-up” initiatives with the legitimacy and accountability guaranteed by an e-government context.

The INTERLINK project, which started in January 2021 and will end on 31st December 2023, involves national and local public administrations, universities, research institutes and large private companies for a total of ten organisations representing six countries (Italy, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Lithuania).

In the framework of the project, the DSII will contribute, in collaboration with the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, to the creation of a new module for joint strategic planning, starting from the module currently in use at the MEF for the management of governance processes of IT services (GOST), with the aim of enabling the participation of citizens and local communities in the definition and monitoring of strategic plans drawn up by the Public Administration.

The INTERLINK project, which was launched while the participation in the ETAPAS, PoSeID-on and SRSP (Structural Reform Support Programme) projects was still ongoing, and which followed initiatives financed by the EU through the Horizon 2020 programme (SUNFISH and Call4Innovation), clearly indicate the continuous presence on the theme of innovation, both at national and European level.
