Dear colleagues,

Today the new NoiPA portal is online. This is the result, not the first but certainly the most evident one, of the CloudifyNoiPA project, which we have been working on for about two years with great commitment, together with our in-house company SOGEI, to which the implementation part is entrusted.

It is a challenge to ensure continuity in the payment of salaries to more than two million public employees belonging to such different realities and at the same time to achieve an integral reengineering of the system, aimed at improving and extending services by adopting the most advanced technological paradigms. To tell the story of our commitment we have produced a series of short documentaries "Ogni santo 23" that will be broadcast from Monday, September 16.

The portal is based on a cloud infrastructure that will allow us to respond more efficiently to the growing needs that are rightly claimed as users.

It is important to underline that this is not the final version of the new portal. Built, as well as the whole new system, working with some groups of users to better interpret the needs of all, we will ensure continuous and progressive improvements, thanks to your suggestions.

Some improvements are already in the pipeline and will soon be seen. Others that we would like to make will take more time because they involve significant interventions on the systems. Among the areas in evolution, we can mention the enhancement of the information heritage of NoiPA and the self-service functions, which in a first phase will remain in the current formulation, to be gradually increased and improved in usability.

All this while paying attention to the increasing quality of the product and the adequacy of costs. For us as a public administration, every euro of taxpayers is important that it is used well. In fact, a special transparency section is already available on the Cloudify NoiPA portal, dedicated to the costs planned and incurred for the implementation of the project.

To ensure the proper functioning of the services offered through the portal, both those created on the basis of the new paradigms, and those of the old system that will survive in parallel for some time, we had to perform many tests and this has created some discomfort for which we apologize.

The sincere wish is that together, as public employees as we are, we can build something useful and innovative for the benefit of all.
