Open data: the information heritage of NoiPA available to everyone

20/May/2020

Published a new update of the Open Data section of the NoiPA portal with the addition of a new dataset on withholding tax for credit claims.

With Open Data NoiPA every citizen can know and use the immense data assets that the platform provides, managing almost two million public administration employees.

The opening of this section, therefore, not only responds to the necessary logic of transparency, but also to the desire to raise awareness and analysis skills on the Italian PA and country system.

The portal Open data NoiPA, was created with the aim of enhancing the information capital managed by the system and therefore be a tool for in-depth analysis and research, being able to offer various datasets relating to the Administrated managed and Administrations participating in the platform, with the related data on Employment Relationships and Economic Treatment. These databases can be broken down on a socio-demographic and geographical basis and divided by sector.

All the Datasets in the section have been released in Linked Open Data (LOD) format, to date the most advanced technological standard for the processing of online databases. This standard allows everyone, and in particular to experts and researchers, not only to produce verticalized analyses on the information heritage of NoiPA, but to be able to compare and enrich it with the databases offered by other PA and subjects.

To simplify and stimulate the work of analysts and stimulate the curiosity of simple users of the area, we point out that in the Endpoint section are already prepared a series of sample queries with which to query the database and return the potential of Open data NoiPA in generating information and scenario analysis.

In addition, on the NoiPA portal, a new dataset centred on withholding taxes for credit has been released, included in the "Economic Treatment" section. The latter database allows monitoring the payment of withholding tax applied to the employee for reimbursement of Small Loan and Transfer through the institution of the payment delegation. In particular, the data can be consulted by province of residence of the Administrated, by Administration, sector and age group and gender.

Finally, in order to develop more in-depth analyses of the public sector or employment, it is possible to cross-reference NoiPA data with other databases, for example, by referring to the Open data on the MEF portal and those of other institutions such as INPS and INAIL.
