PagoPA payments: easier, safer and transparent solutions

PagoPA payments: easier, safer and transparent solutions

18/Sep/2018

How to pay the PA in a comfortable and intuitively way.

Often, while thinking at payments to Public Administrations we think about bureaucratic processes, and long waiting lines at the Post. Indeed, to understand how much, how and where to pay is not always straightforward and often payments modalities may differ from one Administrations to another.

In order to solve this issue, the AgID has created PagoPA, the national payment system to Public Administrations, a platform aiming at transforming monetary transactions in favor of PA with simpler, safer and transparent modalities.

Thanks to PagoPA, used mandatorily by all Public Entities and adopted by an increasing number of Banks and payments Institutions (Payment Service Providers – PSP), it is in fact possible to pay taxes, utilities, tuitions, membership fees, stamps and any other type of payment towards local and central Public Administrations. Moreover, it is also possible to do transactions in favor of other actors like firms, semi-public bodies, Schools, Universities and more.  You can find the list of all Public Administration Entities participating at PagoPA here.

Payment have to be done directly on the website or application used by local administration or through channels (online and physical) of Banks and other Payment Service Providers (PSP), namely:

  • Bank agencies

  • Using home baking

  • At ATMs

  • At SISAL, Lottomatica and ITB sales points

  • At the Post Office

PagoPA intention is to not only make simpler the payment process online, but also improve the citizen’s user experience offline because not everyone are willing or able to pay online. For this reason, AgID has developed a new paper notice for PagoPA, that list to citizens all the available payments modalities: on Municipality’s website, Banks, Post Offices and more.
